Miranda Lambert, aged 40, and Enrique Iglesias, aged 48, announced on Monday that they have collaborated on a new duet called “Space in My Heart.” The talented artists took to social media to share the exciting news and revealed that the highly anticipated track will be released on February 22nd.
By sharing a teaser of the yet-to-be-released song and the single’s artwork on Instagram, Lambert and Iglesias made an announcement about the project along with its official release date. The artwork features a captivating black-and-white photograph of the two artists, with Lambert modestly averting her gaze while Iglesias confidently stares into the camera.
Enrique has confirmed that his upcoming album, Final (Vol. 2), set to release on March 29, will include the featured song.
This album will mark the end of his musical journey, as he revealed in an interview with Today, expressing that he has dedicated several years to its creation. Enrique stated, “This has always been intended as my last album… this is the culmination. I can confidently say that I won’t be working on any more albums.”

The country star took to her Instagram Story to express her excitement about releasing the song, mentioning the combination of Texas and Spain in the process. She shared a brief audio clip where they both harmonize, giving a glimpse of a tender, romantic ballad about longing.
The song seems to blend elements from both their genres, featuring acoustic guitar and showcasing Lambert’s twang and Iglesias’ croon. Fans eagerly commented, expressing their anticipation for the full version and praising the unexpected collaboration.
“😱surprising + shocking 🥺ðŸ˜ðŸ’˜ loved it!!!💌💯”
The singer-songwriters have come together for their first collaboration, titled “Space in My Heart.” It is currently uncertain whether this single will be a standalone song or part of a larger project, such as Iglesias’ upcoming album, Final Vol. 2.
This song also marks Lambert’s first release of the year, following her previous collaboration with Leon Bridges on the track “If You Were Mine,” which was released in June 2023.
It is worth noting that “Space in My Heart” is the first song Lambert has released since announcing her departure from her longtime record label, Sony Music Nashville, in March of that same year, after being with them for 19 years.
The CMA Award winner took to Instagram to express her gratitude and announce her decision. In a heartfelt post, she reflected on the time spent together and the opportunities her association with Sony had brought her.
However, staying true to herself meant constantly seeking new challenges and avenues to explore her creativity. Keeping this in mind, she made the tough decision to bid farewell to her Sony family. Excited for the future, she eagerly awaits the next adventure that lies ahead.
The artist known for “Bailando” recently shared “FrÃa” featuring Cuban singer Yotuel, which will be included in his upcoming album Final (Vol. 2). This highly anticipated LP will mark the end of his album releases. The first half of the project, Final (Vol. 1), was released in 2021.
While he has confirmed that this will be his final full-length album, he clarified in a 2021 interview with PEOPLE that it does not mean he is retiring completely.
The “Hero” singer stated, “It means that it’s the last album that I’m going to make. That doesn’t mean I’m retiring – a lot of people have asked me, are you going to retire?”
He persisted, stating, “I have no plans of retiring! I will continue to write songs, although that doesn’t imply I have to release albums frequently.”
Although an official release date for Final (Vol. 2) has not been disclosed, Iglesias mentioned in a November 2023 interview with TODAY that he had set his sights on a February 2024 release.
