Pamela Anderson Takes Us Back To The 90s With Makeup _ Now She Looks Even Stunning Than Ever.
Pamela Anderson is embracing the nostalgia of the ’90s in her latest campaign with Smashbox Cosmetics, titled “Isn’t It Iconic?” The renowned Baywatch star, now 56, is seen in promotional content for the beloved Original Photo Finish Primer, showcasing the signature skinny bows and smoky eyes that she was famous for during that era.
The renowned author and activist, who has been gaining attention for her recent decision to embrace a makeup-free look, took to Instagram to share a post that carried a significant message about cosmetics. In the image, the Baywatch star can be observed adorned in her classic ultra-glamorous appearance, featuring sleek eyebrows, captivating smoky eyes, and radiant skin.
Anderson’s recent change in personal style, which garnered significant attention, starkly contrasts with her collaboration with Smashbox.
Previously known for her bare-faced look, the star made headlines by going make-up-free at prestigious events like Paris Fashion Week and the London Fashion Awards, where her decision was applauded as a stance against ageism.
Furthermore, Anderson recently invested in Sonsie, a “clean” skincare brand, to support its mission of promoting self-empowerment. However, Anderson took to Instagram to explain her decision to embrace the nineties era once again for her partnership with Smashbox.
“The beauty industry wasn’t looking at me back in the ’90s. But now, since the ’90s are popular, I’m just going to take that. I’m just going to be happy about it, i am not trying to say that I’m this natural-beauty guru [by going makeup-free]. I’m just experimenting. To each their own – make-up is a fun extension of who we are, but it isn’t all we are,” said Anderson.
“When [Smashbox] approached me a few months ago, I was honoured – a fun ‘wink to the past. Though it is not my aesthetic now, it was very flash back then, but those were the days. So I’m thinking about how to protect your skin and how to still use makeup as an extension and expression,” ”
Anderson commended the primer for its vegan and cruelty-free attributes, while also expressing gratitude for being part of the campaign. The product’s main goal is to establish a protective layer between the skin and the makeup. Regarding her iconic ’90s appearance, which has influenced many, Anderson humbly stated that she did not intentionally set any trends.
Anderson is going makeup-free more often now because it feels more true to her lifestyle and herself. she said noting that she thinks she had low self-esteem at the time.
“I just was having a good time and trying to juggle the beach and babies and rock stars, if you don’t rely on others’ approval, you can have a much more fairy-tale magical life, I think,” she said. Make up is a fun extension of who we are, but it isn’t all we are…,” Anderson said.
Anderson explained that she has a longstanding connection with the brand’s founder, Davis Factor. When she was approached a few months ago to take part, she felt honored and saw it as an opportunity to pay tribute to their shared history. Anderson concludes her message by stating, “A smile is the ultimate beauty secret that applies to everyone, regardless of age.”
Pamela Anderson shares the reasons behind her choice to go makeup-free.
Pamela Anderson reveals her decision to ditch makeup and discusses her new skincare brand, Sonsie. The renowned model and actress, famous for her role in “Baywatch,” made waves during Paris Fashion Week when she appeared without any makeup. Despite launching her skincare line, Anderson emphasizes that her choice to go makeup-free is not a publicity stunt.
In an interview published on Thursday, Anderson, aged 56, expressed her disagreement with being credited for it being a stunt, stating that it does not align with her thinking.
This decision to publicly reclaim her identity comes after she shared her perspective in a popular Netflix documentary titled “Pamela, a Love Story” and in her memoir “Love, Pamela” last year. These projects were a response to the limited Hulu series “Pam & Tommy” in 2022, which focused on Anderson’s stolen s3x tape with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.
Pamela Anderson, known for her glamorous appearance on “Baywatch” and as a model, has now embraced a bold no-makeup look, contributing to the “natural beauty revolution.”
In an interview with Allure, Anderson expressed how her name itself can create a false impression, as she’s been associated with her past roles and the Halloween costumes she often wore.
However, she has embarked on a personal journey of self-love and self-acceptance, returning to her true essence. Despite frequently being photographed in bikinis with heavy makeup throughout her career, Anderson now embraces a more authentic and natural approach.
“I have always had this inner monster within me that I feel the need to express and share. I have been trying, and I have started to feel a deep connection with it,” she expressed.
Anderson continued, “It’s like it’s stripping away everything, trying to remember my original thoughts. It’s not just about removing makeup and masks, but it’s also about questioning my purpose, why I resonate with people, and if I can be of any help.”
Anderson chose to go without makeup for her own personal reasons, not as a political statement. She explained, “After coming back from shows, wearing extravagant outfits and attracting paparazzi, I would simply change into jeans, a T-shirt, and go makeup-free. I walked right through the same crowd that had been chasing me, and no one even noticed,” she shared with Allure.
Anderson spoke about her decision in an interview with Vogue France, expressing that she does not wish to compete with clothes and is currently not interested in the makeup look.
She shared her mother’s wisdom, stating that at some point in life, one may no longer desire to wear makeup on their skin, and she agrees with that sentiment.
Anderson believes that challenging beauty is important and hopes that her choice to not wear makeup can showcase different ways women can express themselves.
She emphasized that her intention is not to be the most attractive person in the room but rather to experience a sense of freedom and relief.
