Salma Hayek Sparkles In Film Festival In a Strapless Sequin Gown And Getting Quite Undressed.

Salma Hayek embodied the glitz and glamour of Cannes this weekend. At the premier of Emilia Perez on Saturday, the actor sparkled on the film festival’s red carpet in a strapless sequin gown by Saint Laurent.

 

A known lover of dazzling dresses, she continued that bejeweled love affair in a black figure-hugging gown with a square neckline. The 57-year-old star looked incredible as she posed for photographs, with the sequin ensemble glittering with every move.

Hayek accessorized with a geometric gold bangle bracelet and a black leather clutch with gold hardware. To accentuate her décolletage, she added a gold collar necklace with diamond and coral details, layering it with a longer gold necklace. The latter featured a large flower pendant also decorated with coral and black gemstones. Both necklaces added dimension to the otherwise all-black look.

 

 

The actor matched the radiance of her sequined ensemble with her glam: An orangey-brown eye shadow highlighted her brown eyes, while a coral blush and matching coral lipstick coordinated with the color of her jewelry. She wore her hair parted down the middle in effortless waves, letting her natural hair texture shine. Hayek smiled widely in photos with her husband, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault.

By now, the Frida star has made a habit of delivering fashion statements in sequins. She recently wore another shiny strapless dress—this time a stunning ocean blue—in Italy, and before then, donned an incredible one-shouldered silver sequined Gucci gown for the Oscars after-party in March. At the previous year’s Oscars ceremony, she also repped Gucci sequins, wearing a blood-orange halterneck gown with fringe. There’s no question Hayek knows how to sparkle.

Salma Hayek Pinault is celebrating her husband! Salma, 57, took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 28 to wish François-Henri Pinault, whom she has been married to since 2009, a happy 62nd birthday while sharing a number of photos of the couple on the red carpet over the years.

 

“God bless the day you were born mi amor. Thank you for the endless love and laughter you bring me each day Happy birthday my king 👑,” the actress wrote in her caption, before adding the same sentiment in Spanish: “Dios bendiga el día en que naciste, mi amor. Gracias por el amor y la risa interminables que me brindas cada día. Feliz cumpleaños, mi rey 👑.”

Salma and her husband began dating in 2006 and welcomed their daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault, 16, in September 2007. In 2009, the Frida actress and François-Henri tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Paris on Valentine’s Day and later held a star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy, at which their daughter served as a flower girl. The couple also made a point of renewing their vows in August 2018 in Bora Bora.

 

 

In addition to daughter Valentina, Salma is also a stepmother to François-Henri’s children from a previous marriage; he shares a daughter, Mathilde and two sons, François and Augustin James, with his ex Linda Evangelista.

On Valentine’s Day in February, Salma shared an adorable black and white photo of herself with her husband as she posted a tribute to their marriage and celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. “After 18 years together and 15 years of marriage, you still make loving you easy, fun, deep and fresh like a gentle breeze. Happy anniversary mi amor ❤️,” she wrote in a caption at the time.

In April, Salma shared several throwback images from the couple’s 2009 wedding on Instagram and reflected on meeting her match in the French businessman. “There are no words to explain the blessing of finding your soulmate,” she wrote in a caption to that post. “For all of you who found it, never take it for granted For all of you who haven’t, never give up #tbt to one of the best days of my life.”

Salma last appeared on the big screen in 2023’s Magic Mike’s Last Dance, as well as in one episode of Black Mirror’s sixth season. According to her IMDb page, the actress has two upcoming film projects in the works.
